Description

Blue hour at the incomparable Pednvounder Beach, near Porthcurno in west Cornwall. This was at the end of an astrophotography session, and daybreak was not far away. This short period is known as blue hour. It took my shots, not expecting the milky way to be visible. To my great surprise it came out well, and the whole composition and mood makes this one of my personal favourite astrophotographs. Adding to the scene is the ‘Morning Star’, the planet Venus, rising just above the headland.
